- Local prices dropped to 119,000 VND/kg for Grade 2,5%bb FDW Ho Chi Minh this morning, with little interest from buyers or sellers. FOB offers firmed up to about +150 to +200 FOB, while new crop positions are also elevated to +200 to +250 FOB.
- In August 2024, Vietnam’s on-water exports of all coffee types totaled 83,783 tons, down 7.05% MoM and
12.28% YoY, marking a 31.12% decline compared to the 5-year average. By type, Robusta exports amounted to 58,714 tons (-9.14% MoM, -15.95% YoY), Arabica exports reached 2,080 tons (-58.73% MoM, +1.74% YoY), and Soluble coffee exports were 22,854 tons (+12.78% MoM, -2.71% YoY). - Vietnam coffee stocks continue to decline, reaching their lowest point in recent history. “Visible” coffee stks at the end of August 2024 were 119,136 tons, a 25.72% decrease from the previous month and a 29.27% drop from the same period last year.
