The harvest has begun in earnest in most coffee regions, as the drier weather in the last couple of days prompt farmers to the field to speed up harvesting. But weather forecast point to unseasonal wet weather from middle this week, which could potentially disrupt the harvest once again.

  • Farm-gate prices are quoted at 57,600 VND/kg this morning, translate to H+90 FOB (basis G2,5% FOB Bulk), for Dec deliveries. Prompt deliveries for Nov are bided some $50/$70 higher as local exporters and traders try to cover their Nov commitments.
  • FOB offers are al over the place – with offers ranging from +80 to +120 for Oct shipments onwards. Some trades happened at/below the lower end of this range if you run into a shipper needing an urgent export contract to rotate their working capital line.
